The Insight of a Genealogy
Swen Nater
Years ago when visiting Holland, where I was born, one of my relatives handed me the Nater genealogy, or family tree. It goes back to the 1,200s. When I got back to the States, I showed it to my mother. She recognized a few of the names and even knew something about them. For example, she told me I got my sense of humor from a Nater lady that lived in the 1800s.
That got me curious and I wondered if I could find out more about myself by learning more about some of my ancestors. To my surprise, but after a lot of painstaking digging, I came up with the following.
Coordi Nater: I got my organization skills from him.
Elimi Nater: He’s the reason I have a fetish about taking out the trash all the time.
Imperso Nater: Now I know why I can do such a good Humphrey Bogard.
Incrimi Nater: He was an attorney. I can argue with the best of them.
Do Nater: I guess she is the reason I feel the need to give to charity.
Desig Nater: I don’t mind getting others to do my work.
Carmen Denomi Nater: I’m pretty good at math. Now I know why.
I’m so glad my last name is not Lee. What if I found a distant relative with the first name of “Ug?”

PS You will notice, I am sending this Swensday Stuff posting out on Thursday. I’m going to blame that on my relative, Procrasti Nater.
